Die zeitigen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Angaben, die anhand der Webmaster selber vorliegen wurden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Übersicht mit Thema einer Seite, gewiss stellte sich bald hervor, dass die Inanspruchnahme dieser Details nicht vertrauenswürdig war, da die Wahl der angewendeten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts sonstige Verben kann. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Webseiten bei charakteristischen Ausschau halten listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller diverse Eigenschaften innert des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite besser in den Serps gefunden wird.[3] Da die damaligen Search Engines sehr auf Punkte angewiesen waren, die bloß in den Händen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Straftat und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um überlegenere und relevantere Testergebnisse in den Resultaten zu erhalten, mussten sich die Besitzer der Suchmaschinen an diese Voraussetzungen einstellen. Weil der Gewinn einer Recherche davon anhängig ist, wichtige Suchresultate zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten unangebrachte Urteile darin resultieren, dass sich die User nach ähnlichen Chancen für den Bereich Suche im Web umsehen. Die Erwiderung der Suchmaschinen im WWW fortbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Rangfolge, die Kriterien beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Yahoo search – eine Recherche, die auf einem mathematischen Routine basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Unterseiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus eingehen ließ. Can someone help me with the issue:
When I enable the SEO in System>Settings>Store>Server Tab, everything looks and runs Okay, exept when I go in ANY sub-category.
Then the site's URL goes from MySiteNameURL/MainCategory, to MySiteNameURL/MainCategory/AnySubCategory and CSS and JS are not loading at all! The category items listed in this categories are loading , exept the Style CSS file and any JS I have. In other words the site's style is gone.
But:
But if I drop the MainCategory from the URL and enter directly: MySiteNameURL/AnySubCategory the site is finding the correct path to the CSS and JS and everything is Okay.
Please, could someone help me with this? Thank You.

IMPORTANT FOR localhost! If you running project under sub directory for example localhost/opencart/upload you should update .htaccess

Thanks for the video, this made things that little easier for me, the only difference I had to make was to add a few custom lines from my .htaccess to the bottom of the new .txt one as my site forces https access. Took a few seconds and no issues so far 🙂
Doing this has broken all product pages. When I click on any product I open an error page that says something like this: "Fatal error: Uncaught Twig_Error_Loader: Unable to find template "extension/module/quickorder.twig" followed by paths that are missing.

URL shown as in your tutorial, yes, but I get an internal server error …Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Then again, what about all the product pages? They still show an ugly, ridiculous URL like:
index.php?route=product/product&product_id=40 ???
Who would ever try to even think about buying a product_id=40 from any online store?

I had this setup just fine on my site, but now I'm working with a multi site, and the seo url's do not work with the additional store. I get error 500. I can not figure out why.

I have two htaccess files
htaccess and .htaccess.txt
What do I do here, delete htaccess which is the original file and amend the .htaccess.txt by removing the .txt extension?

Hello. I have made all as described here, but get 404. And not seo urls works. My site use 2 languages and I have set keywords for both languages. Finally it works, but changing language go to home page and connection on seo url pages are not secure.
It would be good to add that one should only put category_id=xxx for category etc. because first I was trying to add the whole link with index.php and so one.
