What is the number 7 1/2 used for as a tool by carpenters? My teacher asked us and I'm stuck all I can think is something to due with the PLS system or im wrong and way off lol

P.L.S. is a great basic fundamental to learn carpentry. A professional carpenter has to remember that if building an addition or adding to any existing structure you are also responsible for the PLS of what you're build off of. Check existing work for it's PLS status and fix it if it isn't right or alert someone in charge. Fun video, thanks.
