Speaking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead till I really feel better in regards to the course of our country."

In a weblog submit, Kapler questioned whether or not the country's management is dedicated to representing its folks's best interests and whether or not america is really "the land of the free and the home of the courageous."

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the lack of supply of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this nation. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I could have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let it be known through protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to discuss basketball forward of Game 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, instead elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"In the last 10 days, we have had elderly Black individuals killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have kids murdered at school," Kerr informed reporters initially of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I am drained. I am so bored with getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated households which can be on the market ... I'm tired of the moments of silence. Sufficient."
