Federal agents entered Uvalde faculty to kill gunman despite local police initially asking them to attend

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 youngsters have been instructed by local police to wait and never enter the varsity — and then determined after about half an hour to disregard that initial steering and find the shooter, say two senior federal legislation enforcement officials.

In response to the officials, brokers from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Protection tactical unit, and ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between midday and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Local law enforcement requested them to wait, after which instructed HSI agents to assist pull kids out of the windows.
