Over 800 WhiteHat Jr employees have resigned from the children online coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being asked to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its staff to return to office inside a month’s time, according to an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company announced the policy to end make money working from home and requested distant workers to return to workplace by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time staff of the sales, coding, and math teams. Extra workers are anticipated to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of many employees who resigned told the website that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have children, some have aged and sick dad and mom, while others produce other responsibilities. It's not proper to name again employees in such a short time frame,” the former WhiteHat Jr worker mentioned.

Another worker stated salaries also factored in the determination to not return to the office.
