New York intercourse employee Angelina Barini sentenced to 30 years for fatally drugging 4 men

The pattern was almost identical.

Between July and August 2019, intercourse employee Angelina Barini met with her shoppers at motels in New York Metropolis before giving them harmful doses of drugs that incapacitated them. Then, she would rob the men and go away with their private belongings.

4 of them, together with a distinguished Italian chef, died of overdoses from the medication, court docket information state.

In August, Barini pleaded guilty to distributing medicine that killed her clients, together with fentanyl and gamma-butyrolactone, known for inflicting irrational behavior, severe sickness, coma and loss of life.

Last week, a judge sentenced the 43-year-old Barini to 30 years in jail.

“The defendant drugged and killed multiple people for a couple of fast dollars,” Breon Peace, the U.S. legal professional for the Jap District of New York, mentioned in a news launch. “She stole their private belongings while they lay unconscious dying from the lethal medication she gave them.”

Barini met her first victim at a motel in Astoria, Queens, on July 4, 2019. There, she gave the person fentanyl-laced medication and left the room. Police found him lifeless hours later, courtroom data state.

A week later, on July 11, Barini had an encounter with one other man at a motel in Woodside, Queens, where she gave him fentanyl-laced drugs. The person also died of a drug overdose, a complaint states.

The following month, on Aug. 5, Barini met her third sufferer in Faculty Point, Queens, and again gave him fentanyl-laced drugs that led to a deadly overdose, prosecutors stated.

Later that month, on Aug. 18, Barini met her last recognized sufferer, Andrea Zamperoni — a chef for the high-end restaurant chain Cipriani — inside an Elmhurst, Queens, motel room, where she drugged him with gamma-butyrolactone, generally often known as a “date rape” drug. The person died shortly afterward.

That day, courtroom records state, Barini repeatedly tried to dispose of the sufferer’s physique. Barini wrapped Zamperoni’s body in bleach-stained sheets and placed it inside a trash bin, in keeping with prosecutors. Zamperoni was reported lacking on Aug. 21, prosecutors mentioned. That very same day, the New York City Police Department found the man’s physique within the motel room.

Fernando Dallorso, the overall supervisor of Cipriani in New York, told the New York Times that Zamperoni was a “devoted onerous worker” who cooked six days a week and “never missed a day of work.”

The kitchen workers mourned the loss, Dallorso told the Occasions.

“Everyone in the kitchen proper now's heartbroken, from the dishwasher to the chef,” Dallorso said.
