Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several other agencies in an try to seek out him.
The teen was found close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
