Wisconsin man celebrates 50 years of consuming Big Macs day by day

MILWAUKEE (Spectrum Information Milwaukee) - Don Gorske’s Big Mac streak began on May 17, 1972.

“I’ve only missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal. And like I say, I count every Massive Mac. I’ve counted every Big Mac I’ve eaten my complete life,” Gorske said.

Gorske eats two Massive Macs a day.

“All through life right here, a lot of people said, ‘You’ll be dead before you reach 50 years of consuming Huge Macs.’ I assume I proved them wrong,” he stated.

His son shouldn't be surprised at his father’s persistence.

“We all the time went to McDonald’s with my dad and had comfortable meals. I always liked my rooster nuggets, and my brother all the time liked his hamburgers. It’s how we grew up. It’s just an everyday life type of factor for us,” he stated.
