Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different businesses in an try to seek out him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
