Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of companies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several other companies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
