Russian spy airplane violates Swedish air area

A Russian reconnaissance plane briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish protection officers said on Saturday, because the Scandinavian country ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller plane violated Swedish airspace on Friday night,” the Swedish protection ministry stated in an announcement, including that its teams had adopted the incident and photographed it.
The ministry said the aircraft was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island within the Baltic, before it headed toward Swedish territory.
“It's totally unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public television SVT quoted Protection Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the overall security scenario very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty must all the time be respected.”
