Talking in the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I do not plan on popping out for the anthem going forward until I feel better concerning the path of our country."

In a blog submit, Kapler questioned whether the nation's leadership is committed to representing its people's greatest interests and whether the US is actually "the land of the free and the house of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked parents trying to arrange to charge in to cease the shooter, including a father who learned his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra vital than our kids's freedom to go to highschool with no need bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he known as "the shortage of supply of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I could have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied together with your country, you let it's identified via protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion towards gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball forward of Sport 4 of the Warriors' collection against the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute elevating his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"In the last 10 days, we've had aged Black individuals killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we've youngsters murdered at college," Kerr advised reporters firstly of the press conference.

"When are we going to do something? I'm drained. I am so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated families which are out there ... I am bored with the moments of silence. Sufficient."
