Speaking within the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I feel higher about the course of our country."

In a weblog post, Kapler questioned whether the country's leadership is committed to representing its individuals's best interests and whether or not the USA is actually "the land of the free and the home of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked dad and mom making an attempt to organize to cost in to stop the shooter, including a father who realized his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are more important than our kids's freedom to go to school without having bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he known as "the shortage of delivery of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I might have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that once you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let or not it's recognized through protest. The home of the brave ought to encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action in opposition to gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to speak about basketball forward of Sport 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, instead elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had elderly Black individuals killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we have children murdered at school," Kerr informed reporters firstly of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I am so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated households that are out there ... I am bored with the moments of silence. Enough."
