Speaking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I feel better about the route of our nation."

In a weblog post, Kapler questioned whether or not the country's management is dedicated to representing its folks's finest pursuits and whether or not america is really "the land of the free and the house of the brave."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked mother and father making an attempt to organize to cost in to stop the shooter, together with a father who learned his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra essential than our youngsters's freedom to go to high school with no need bulletproof backpacks and energetic shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the dearth of supply of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I might have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that once you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let it be identified by protest. The house of the brave ought to encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to discuss basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"In the last 10 days, we've had aged Black folks killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we've children murdered at school," Kerr told reporters at the beginning of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I am so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families which are out there ... I'm tired of the moments of silence. Enough."
