Family of Kidnapped Woman Claims Inaction of Dallas Police & Mavs in Intercourse Trafficking Case

DALLAS - A 15-year-old woman from North Richland Hills is now house after being kidnapped by a man at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks sport at American Airways Heart. But the family nonetheless seeks solutions, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not acting swiftly enough relating to the crime, which had the woman as a part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone lacking a total of 11 days,” legal professional Zeke Fortenberry said. “Our intent is that method (the aforementioned organizations) are on notice that we’re pursuing claims towards them for his or her negligence and other causes of motion.''

Fortenberry mentioned the teenager’s father informed police at the sport when he realized she was missing. However, according to the attorney, the daddy was instructed to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police mentioned they weren’t able to assist as a result of the incident occurred in Dallas.

The attorney stated it was the Houston-based human trafficking agency Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that worked to seek out the lacking lady, who was being held in an Oklahoma City motel.

Dallas Police told WFAA that they followed protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD in the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the girl was found, the group releasing the next assertion: “The American Airlines Heart (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been discovered.Both entities will proceed to cooperate with local and regional regulation enforcement on this case.''
