Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to promote broken car with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after no less than five people referred to as 911.

Officers say the calls began coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Predominant Road exit. They are saying the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver kept going.

Different callers say the driver was everywhere in the road and now missing a front tire.

They say he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Employees advised police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to promote his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of times. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath take a look at.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is going through several costs.

He's the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
