Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities mentioned.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park around 9 a.m. after the adult male sufferer referred to as authorities a couple of possible sexual assault, said Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle stated.

The sheriff’s division would not provide more particulars about the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Legal professional’s Workplace had not obtained the case Wednesday and has not made a charging determination, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds said.

Deputies responded to a campground space of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, the place they met the victim and finally arrested Dick, Steinle said.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in line with jail information. It was not instantly clear whether or not he had an attorney who may communicate on his behalf within the incident.

An individual who has been Dick’s supervisor didn't reply to a request for comment.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the next year with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not responsible, and the case is about for trial, said his attorney in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he doesn't symbolize Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
