A girl visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news release from the park.
The girl approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it came close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Previous Faithful geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison stay at the park, and they have injured more people than any other animal, the park stated.
When the visitor came within 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 ft in the air, the park mentioned.
The girl had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two other individuals had been also close to the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say in the event that they were injured.
The park warned individuals to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and not less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
