A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a information launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Trustworthy geyser, the park mentioned.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison stay on the park, and so they have injured more individuals than any other animal, the park said.

The lady had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
