The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I believe all the pieces came to actuality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her mates and classmates had been additionally targeted.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.
