The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played lifeless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed through the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I feel it simply hit Miah. I believe all the pieces got here to actuality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her buddies and classmates had been also focused.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah bought some blood and put it on herself so she may faux she was lifeless," stated Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene over and over again, but that is what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she noticed her buddy filled with blood and she bought blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

Rivera, a mom of three, said the family is rallying around Miah to assist her recover bodily, emotionally and spiritually.
