Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was released.
The US tech large said its iconic music player has been changed by different gadgets, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide advertising, said: "At the moment, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We have built-in an incredible music expertise across all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound quality with help for spatial audio - there isn't any higher way to enjoy, uncover, and experience music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the unique iPod and it was the first MP3 player that would hold 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented a whole new category of digital music participant that allows you to put your whole music collection in your pocket and hearken to it wherever you go," he stated on the time.
"With iPod, listening to music won't ever be the same once more."
Comparable MP3 gamers released by Microsoft and Sony didn't have the identical success as the iPod.
Apple has launched 5 variations of its music player - the Basic, Touch, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
The company has been slowly killing its iPod range lately, with cell phone technology enabling clients to listen to music services on their telephones.
In 2014, the classic click wheel mannequin was discontinued, and the Shuffle and Nano have been killed off three years later.
The seventh-generation iPod touch was the only model still on sale at present.
With out the iPod, there would never have been an iPhone or iPod, in accordance with its inventor Tony Fadell.
