Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was released.
The US tech big mentioned its iconic music participant has been changed by different units, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide marketing, mentioned: "Right now, the spirit of iPod lives on.

In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the original iPod and it was the primary MP3 player that could hold 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
