CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The parents of a 6-year-old marathoner are speaking out after they say child protective services paid their household an unannounced visit and questioned their children at house.
Ben and Kami Crawford shared a photograph on Instagram Sunday purportedly of certainly one of their kids being interviewed by a CPS staffer. In the accompanying caption, they wrote in part, "Yesterday Baby Protective Companies (CPS) arrived at our home unannounced and interviewed our youngsters, mother and father & grandmother. This is a scary process because often kids are interrogated away from parents, in opposition to their will, and their answers determine the company's authorized proper to remove the youngsters."
The Crawfords made headlines last week after they let their children, including their son Rainier, 6, run the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati on May 1 and shared it on-line. Their May 3 Instagram post particularly sparked outcry from social media users, with some critics going so far as to accuse the Crawfords of kid abuse.

Campbell County, Kentucky, District Lawyer Steve Franzen confirmed to "Good Morning America" that baby companies had visited the Crawfords, but stated no willpower had been made yet within the investigation.
Ben and Kami Crawford addressed critics' accusations in a prolonged Instagram video Saturday.
"The actual stuff that we got accused of was dragging Rainier, like physically dragging him on the marathon course after mile 13 and across the end line," Ben Crawford stated.
"If you guys have seen our end line picture, all of us held palms for just like the last most likely, like, .2, .3 miles," he added. "We talked about it forward of time, like that's what we'll do."

"I do not know if I should be indignant. I like to believe that persons are doing the most effective that they can. They don't seem to be attempting to smash our life or, , they in all probability are legit afraid for our youngsters. But in addition, it's like, the place's the road?" Ben Crawford requested.
"I really feel like we're doing what we really feel passionate about," Kami Crawford stated. "It could be kind of tragic to cease all that."
Specialists say a marathon is a serious bodily feat for anyone and it may well take a toll on a toddler.
"If a younger little one have been to run a marathon, I am apprehensive about electrolyte abnormalities, nausea, vomiting, heatstroke, all these indicators and signs that is probably not that clear in a young baby," Dr. Alok Patel previously instructed "GMA."
