800 staff resign after company asks them to work from office

Because the Covid state of affairs has improved, a number of corporations have already known as their workers to office, ending the work at home (WFH).

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr staff have resigned from the kids online coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being requested to work from workplace.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its workers to return to office inside a month’s time, in keeping with an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the corporate introduced the policy to end work at home and requested distant employees to return to workplace by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time staff of the sales, coding, and math groups. Extra workers are expected to place down their papers within the coming months.

One of many employees who resigned informed the web site that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick dad and mom, whereas others have other tasks. It is not right to call back employees in such a brief time period,” the previous WhiteHat Jr worker mentioned.

Another worker said salaries also factored in the determination to not return to the office.
