3 Air Force cadets who refused Covid vaccine gained’t be commissioned

Three cadets at the U.S. Air Drive Academy who have refused the Covid-19 vaccine is not going to be commissioned as army officers but will graduate with bachelor’s degrees, the academy mentioned Saturday.

Academy spokesman Dean Miller mentioned that a fourth cadet who had refused the vaccine until a few week ago, decided to be vaccinated and will graduate and become an Air Power officer.

In a press release, Miller stated that while the three will get a degree “they won't be commissioned into america Air Power so long as they remain unvaccinated.” He added that a resolution on whether to require the three to reimburse the United States for training costs in lieu of service shall be made by the secretary of the Air Drive.

As of Saturday, the Air Force is the only navy academy, up to now, where cadets will not be being commissioned as a result of vaccine refusal. All of the more than 1,000 Military cadets at the U.S. Navy Academy at West Point, New York, graduated and have been commissioned as officers earlier in the day and all were vaccinated.

The Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, stated Saturday that not one of the Navy or Marine Corps seniors there are being prevented from commissioning attributable to vaccine refusals. That commencement is later this week, and the Air Drive ceremony is Wednesday in Colorado.
